Here comes the next revision APM flight controller, because of new architecture used the name APM will be dropped but this will run the same codebase and use the same open source tools as the APM.

Pixhawk is an advanced autopilot system designed by the PX4 open-hardware project and manufactured by 3D Robotics. It features advanced processor and sensor technology from ST Microelectronics® and a NuttX real-time operating system, delivering incredible performance, flexibility, and reliability for controlling any autonomous vehicle.

The benefits of the Pixhawk system include integrated multithreading, a Unix/Linux-like programming environment, completely new autopilot functions such as Lua scripting of missions and flight behavior, and a custom PX4 driver layer ensuring tight timing across all processes. These advanced capabilities ensure that there are no limitations to your autonomous vehicle. Pixhawk allows existing APM and PX4 operators to seamlessly transition to this system and lowers the barriers to entry for new users to participate in the exciting world of autonomous vehicles.

You can now add the PPM Encoder with the Pixhawk!

The flagship Pixhawk module will be accompanied by new peripheral options, including a digital airspeed sensor, support for an external multi-color LED indicator and an external magnetometer. All peripherals are automatically detected and configured.

Product is genuine 3DR, with original packging and all accessories.  Best price in Canada.

Overall great deal. Only whish local pickup would be available during regular business hours.

Pixhawk complete kit February 3, 2015

I installed this in a new home built 450size quad, I'm new to multicopters so I expected this to be a challenge.. The pixhawk and all the accessories worked correctly out of the box, no issues regarding the installation and the first flight was amazingly controlled and super stable with NO tuning. absolutely rock solid performance.

Stay away from clones February 2, 2015

I've been fighting for weeks trying to get a Pixhawk clone to work, constantly being told that it was due to user error by 'support' and finally gave up and bought a 3DR pixhawk instead.
Plug it in, flash the firmware and after an hour or so of fiddling, everything was working.
Also worked out $20 cheaper than getting it from 3DR, once shipping and exchange rates were taken into account, so a win-win.

Very nicely built controller as opposed to all of my HK clones. Haven't had a chance to fly yet, but hope for great things based on all the other reviews.
Dany had very good shipping response and also answered a couple of questions with no delay. Will order from again, probably another Pixhawk if this one meets expectations.
